Fans in Awe as Illustrator Behind ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Wesley Burt Reveals Unused Henry Cavill Logan Concepts

One of the greatest cinematic blessings of not just this year but arguably a decade was Deadpool & Wolverine and the barrage of star cameos along with its top-notch detailing that it offered. Yet, it’s Henry Cavill’s portrayal of Logan and his seamless crossover into the Marvel Cinematic Universe that truly sealed the deal. With the movie having hit the billion-dollar mark, fans are beginning to compliment the masterpiece with every step it took to the brilliant execution; including the early concept designs.

After enjoying the shock factor as fans go back to the theaters to truly take in the artistic spectacle that Deadpool & Wolverine was, the onslaught of praise for the illustration that went behind it was only natural. The man behind the art, Wesley Burt, has further thrown out some crumbs for fans to devour as he dropped the early concept designs of Henry Cavill as Logan.

Burt has been the go-to illustrator for every Marvel blockbuster, including Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. While the credit for Deadpool & Wolverine's smashing success may not entirely go to him, as fans witnessed the red flannel from his Superman days in the early "concept-ing" designs, there was no denying that his back was in pain.

Not only did Wesley Burt, being a comic buff, win hearts by keeping his lips sealed about the cameo that touched the stars, but fans just could not cease to praise him for his unique illustrations.

Henry Cavill's cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine was impactful, to say the least. However, there is no denying that it did not satiate fans' thirst, and if anything further increased it. This carefully crafted cameo trap to give fans a taste of Cavill while also slashing any chances of a comeback for the actor had more than a few intelligent minds working behind the scenes, most notably Wesley Burt.

From stating that he has the coolest job of all time to inquiring whether the first and last choice for the revered cameo had always been Cavill, fans were up and bustling in Burt's comments.

Much like how he kept his lips sealed about the phenomenon that fans are about to witness in theaters with Cavill-rine, Burt chose to only speak through his spectacular art as he did not indulge in any discussions regarding the actor's future in MCU. However, his early concept designs provided just the push fans needed to campaign for Henry Cavill as Logan, possible or not.
