Just as the giant tidal waves from the last movie were beginning to settle down, a third movie has been announced for the Knives Out franchise. Arguably the most successful mystery thriller extravaganza in recent years, the mastermind behind the franchise, Rian Johnson, splendidly kept everything under covers until last week when it was announced that Knives Out 3 will be released in 2025. Moreover, the title of said third movie, much like its predecessor, is a booker in itself, as it will be called Wake Up Dead Man.

While the title and the news itself are intriguing enough, nothing sells the movie quite like the names that have been associated with it. Lindsay Lohan, alongside Venom actor, Tom Hardy, will be starring in this multi-million dollar mystery peeling session, per What's On Netflix. However, they are not the only fan favorites said to have joined the cast, as Cailee Spaeny and Josh O'Connor have officially joined per Deadline with Daniel Craig still part of the franchise.

It seems like Rian Johnson has picked his cherries just right to cause a mass fandom meltdown. The news of the third installment may have been announced only now, however, the foundation stones had been laid way back. In 2019, after Knives Out became the tombstone of successful mystery thrillers, Johnson chose Netflix as the companion to release two more installments.

Given the absolute ballpark hit that Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was with its phenomenal cast and Ye jokes, it comes as no surprise that fans are over the moon at the announcement.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, despite only having revealed its name and cast, has given fans more than enough to tune in, and that is just one of the many reasons they put their faith in Rian Johnson. However, with the exclusive Netflix deal that Johnson signed back in the day, it is likely to be privy to OTT mogul's streamers only. This has not discouraged fans at all as they would, if it comes down to it, watch the movie in 144p, for its promising cast and plot.

While the entire cast had fans reeling, it was Lindsay Lohan that had them screaming "MOTHER!" on X. After all, it is her big comeback after following the subpar Irish Wish.

Some fans started placing their bets on the third installment being the best one yet owing to the impeccable cast of the movie.

With all the right ingredients cooked and served, fans are absolutely "seated" for the movie and cannot wait for more updates regarding the same.
