Even her 'Taste' music video leaned into the same genre, with many nods to classics like Death Becomes Her.

This led some critics to suggest that Ortega is stuck in a loop, always playing the brooding teenager dealing with spooky situations and a side of humor. But her fans were not having it- and they are not wrong. The issue is they are feeling a little burned out from seeing her everywhere lately, perhaps even in the MCU now. After the release of Death of a Unicorn, some fans even joked that Ortega was relying too much on her 'vape-and-septum-piercing' aesthetic, which they felt played into her reputation for portraying miserable teenagers. Of course, her fans quickly came to her defense.

Many of her supporters pointed out that Ortega is only 22 and still in the early days of her career. They argued that she has plenty of time to explore different roles and work with a variety of filmmakers.

For now, though, Jenna Ortega is this generation's scream queen. And a big-name star like her could, indeed, bring the much-needed respect to horror genre, which is usually not taken seriously. She has a way of bringing grounded, believable energy to even such dark roles. And judging by the passionate defenses her fans have been posting all over X, they are totally fine with her being everywhere for the time being.
