Fan Favorite ‘Stranger Things’ Cast to Grace Venice Film Festival
A legacy held high since the year, 1932, Venice Film Festival is the oldest and grandest celebration of cinema. Like the Cannes, this film Kermesse marks the onset of some of the finest works to come. Be it the global giants or the rising stars, all showcase their most awaited work in this European event of the filmic panorama. The time has come for this year’s celebration as well to hit the screens. Basing in fame and glory are Netflix’s two home buddies of a blockbuster show, Stranger Things.
As established auteurs make their space in the lineup, Stranger Things‘ mom of six, Joe Keery, and the vigilante Joseph Quinn have made the fandom proud. Although in distinctive projects this time around, two fan-favorite actors of the Chartbuster show are all set to add to their fanfare.
Joseph Quinn, meanwhile, stars in Luna Carmoon’s feature debut, Hoard. In the relentless saga of a mother and a daughter, Quinn is set to share the screen with Saura Lightfoot, Leon, and Hayley Squires. Competing with numerous other films, Quinn’s Hoard is finally all set to premiere in the Film critic week race. But out of all, why are Netflix fans eager to see these two at the spectacle?
Who are Joseph Quinn and Joe Keery for Netflix in the Venice Film Festival?
Not for the religious Netflix junkies, but for those unversed, the above-mentioned stars form the heart and soul of the Netflix blockbuster. In the sci-fi thriller franchise, Joe Keery rode the troupe of a brooding teenager to a responsible, caring, and lovable father figure for our Hawkins gang. Having first played the role of a typical douchebag, Keery who played Steve Harrington, emerged as the salient backbone of the plot.
Quinn, meanwhile, stole the show as a single-season character winning hearts for a lifetime. Eddie Munson, who first portrays himself as a high school bully, slowly bends with the tribe and turns out to be a softball towards the end. However, his character arc was far more soul-stirring as the nervous, joyous, and free-spirit maverick gives up his life, undaunted, for a major cause.
