‘Family’ to one, ‘Firm’ to Another! Unlike ‘Harry & Meghan’, Unseen Clips From Banned BBC Documentary Has Prince Charles Singing Praises of the Crown
Dropped in 2022, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left no stone unturned to address the insensitivities of the royal ‘firm’ in their Netflix documentary. However, the Duke’s father, Prince (now King) Charles, was perhaps different. With only three days remaining in the crowning of the Sovereign at Westminster Abbey, the British media is seemingly doing its best to celebrate the new king.
In the queue, BBC News apparently premiered a few clips from the 1969 banned documentary, Royal Family, as a trailer for a new 60-minute documentary on the monarch. In the footage, the former Prince of Wales notably praises his family and the Crown while decorating a Christmas Tree. “I like to think of it more as a family than a firm, I think,” the 21-year-old said that the royals are “very special people.”

In the clip, the young Prince alongside Princess Diana also addressed how it is of great help to have a lot of people doing the same thing. But it seems like these praises weren’t agreed with when the Duke of Sussex and his wife (of color and American descent) chimed in to unearth the dirty secrets. Some five and a half decades later, when the Duke and the “Royal Rockstar” contributed their two cents, they were brutal.
The second volume of their Netflix docuseries not only called the palace a firm but also dropped many truth bombs. The Sussexes claimed “There was a war against Meghan. It’s about hatred. It’s about race.” Elsewhere, the Prince himself addressed the “dirty game” of the royals and their deals with the publications.
Prince Harry bashed the institution once again for its dirty media deals
Ahead of King Charles’ long-awaited coronation, his younger son, Prince Harry, made a few allegations (This time, legally). He apparently slammed the UK tabloids and their ways to stir facts about the Royal firm. He further elaborated on how the Palace has based its strong pillars on the “never complain, never explain” mantra. The Duke stated the two institutions had private arrangements, and the Royals agreed not to sue any media houses.

Well, that is not all. Prince Harry also revealed that the media, with the consent of a few royals, targeted multiple members of the Royal family, including himself and his wife, to illegally dig out information and defame their sources. And it seems like the “war” is not over yet.
