The news about Prince Harry turning down his father’s birthday party invitation at Clarence House in London on November 14 started circulating heavily, as the Sunday Times reported. Days after the news began spreading, the Duke of Sussex’s spokesperson refuted the claims during an interview with The Messenger Entertainment. As per the insider, “there has been no contact regarding an invitation”, from King Charles.  

The insider also referred to the circulation of false news by the Sunday Times as “disappointing”. There have been plenty of reports regarding the royal family extending an “olive branch” to the Sussexes in the past. However, none of them really panned out into anything significant. This newest speculation, now proven to be false, came months after the Prince’s alleged refusal of another invitation from the royals surfaced. 

Apparently, Prince Harry refused to pay a visit to Balmoral on Queen Elizabeth’s death anniversary, despite receiving an invitation. Here is the reason. 

Why was Prince Harry absent from Queen Elizabeth’s death anniversary? 

The late Queen’s death anniversary at Balmoral saw the attendance of many royal family members, including the Wales. However, due to busy schedules, Prince Harry did not pay a visit, despite being present in the United Kingdom. Instead, he honored the late queen by visiting the late monarch’s burial site at Windsor Castle by himself. He snubbed the offer after reports about the rejection of his request for accommodation for his one-night stopover at the palace surfaced. 

The Prince even faced quite a few jabs from the media after his request for royal accommodation did not pan out. Though the reason behind turning down the accommodation request was the lack of staff at the palace, it certainly created quite a lot of stir through the media. However, it is safe to assert that not every piece of online news can be taken as gospel truth without proper verification.
