The hype, thus, brings us back to a memorable throwback that witnessed the British Prince Harry and Irish A-lister Cillian Murphy in the same frame. Following Oppenheimer’s premiere on the 21st of July, an anti-Sussex account took to Twitter to share an edited video of their meet. However, appearances are often deceptive and the tweet is not what it seems to be.

The video, which has quickly amassed the attention of a million Twitterati shows Prince Harry and Cillian Murphy engaged in a conversation. The audio seems to portray the Duke and Murphy having a controversial miscommunication about Murphy’s ethnicity. While he is addressed as British, Murphy quickly rectifies it, stating he is Irish and that “there’s a big difference.”
However, it is pertinent to note that the audio attached is from a totally different video, available on YouTube Shorts. It is evident from one of Murphy’s various interviews shared in the tweet above, to be precise.
The video may be fake but the meeting was very much real. But how are Prince Harry and Cillian Murphy in the same frame?

The footage dates back to the year 2017 when Christopher Nolan delivered yet another masterpiece, Dunkirk, starring much-sought-after celebrities. For the London premiere of the movie, the bachelor Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, happened to grace the event to congratulate the stars.
The highest-grossing World War II film boasted a brilliant line of cast. It included Pop Star, Harry Styles, Tom Hardy, our very own Cillian Murphy, and so on. While speaking to all these stars, the Duke also greeted Murphy. They exchanged a few pleasantries before the camera before going their separate ways. Their exact conversation is unknown. However, it is certain that the two did not engage in any controversial back and forth.
