“Exactly one year on…” – Prince Harry Invokes a Heartfelt Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at WellChild Awards Speech
Prince Harry is marking a comeback of sorts to his royal doorstep in London, sans Meghan Markle. The estranged Prince shook the British media and the royal quarters when he made an unplanned and private visit to the Queen’s Memorial at St. George’s Chapel. The Prince, who was mere doors away from his royal counterparts, drew the ire of British media, especially from Prince William’s perspective, who was to make a planned appearance later in the day.
After paying respects to his late grandmother, Prince Harry headed for the WellChild Awards in which he showcased his heart-warming nature. And also remembered his late grandmother, the Queen.

Prince Harry’s latest visit was seen as a direction subversion and disregard of the authority of King Charles III, as well as Prince William by the British media. Regardless, in his day-long visit, the Duke soon moved over to the WellChild Awards, of which he is a patron. In his heart-warming speech, he remembered the late Queen. He described how she would have been the first person to insist him to be at the event, instead of meeting her. He continued saying, “…exactly one year on, she is looking down on all of us tonight.”
As he moved ahead, in his speech, the Sussex royal passed over awards and heart-touching words of encouragement to the children, their parents, and the caretakers who have given them all to help make the world a better place. To all the parents present, the Prince exclaimed that they were “proof that not all superheroes wear capes.” Finally, Prince Harry went about his session by interacting with kids and inspiring them to be strong.

Prince Harry’s impromptu visit to the UK and the Queen’s Memorial before his brother, Prince William’s planned appearance, has drawn flak from royal commentators. However, the Duke of Sussex is to return to Europe, specifically to Germany, with the Duchess. Prince Harry was to make amends with his father, King Charles III. However, it is unlikely to happen anytime soon. If recent reports are to go by, Meghan Markle was miffed at the royal front-runner, Kate Middleton, for “meddling” in planned peace talks.
At the forefront of their discord is Prince Harry’s inability to break the ice with Prince William. And rightfully so. In his memoir, ‘Spare,’ Prince Harry made wide accusations against his elder brother which severed their relations to teething lows. Additionally, the couple also leveled serious allegations in their heavily televised and publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey. As such, the couple is in tumultuous waters as royal experts blast them from all quarters.
