Freya Allan might be known for her role in the Netflix series The Witcher. However, it is not the only project up her sleeve. Unlike Henry Cavill, she chose to stay with the show while also continuing to branch out. Now, the 22-year-old has dived into the world of horror with a film directed by Alberto Corredor. Freya Allan’s upcoming Baghead

Back in 2017, the world got to see Alberto Corredor’s horror short film, Baghead. Now, the director has decided to return and give everyone a complete story. However, this time, it is The Witcher’s Freya Allan who will be leading the case. While the director has drawn inspiration from Guillermo Del Toro in the past, this time is said to be no different. In fact, he has also proved it with his trailer which made its way online earlier today.

The story is said to focus on a young woman who ends up inheriting her father’s old bar. While it might seem shabby, Allan will uncover some dark secrets in the basement of the cellar. Among those secrets is Baghead, a creature who can help people speak to the dead. Although that would seem like a deal to most, it soon takes a horrid turn when she finds out that delving into the afterlife comes with its own consequences.

While the story is sure to keep every viewer on the edge of their seat, Allan is not the only recognizable name on board the horror film cast and crew.

Freya Allan joins another insane cast with Baghead

Most of the world might have been a little surprised when they found out that Freya Allan would be starring in a horror film. After all, with The Witcher on her plate, fans expected to see her in more of a mystical realm. However, with her joining hands with other big names in the cast, it is no surprise that she chose this project. From Peter Mullan from Ozark to Juika Jenkins from Netflix’s Dear Child, the cast sports a lot of well-known names in the horror industry.

Apart from just experience with horror, the star was also joined by Bridgerton actress, Ruby Barker, Saffron Burrows, and Jeremy Irvine. With a cast that has already proved to work together well, the upcoming full-feature film of Baghead should be quite thrilling and eerie to be a part of. So far, it is unclear when the film will make its way to the US but if it ends up being a blockbuster, it will not take too long.
