The one truth about life is that it is never constant. As time passes and one ages, there are moments one looks forward to and there are some they wish had never happened in the first place. The very thing also applies to Hollywood’s men of stature. Among them, Arnold Schwarzenegger recently jotted down all he wished he had and had not in his latest book. Another physically daunting and talented gem, Henry Cavill, had also once expressed his desire to pass on this one piece of advice to his younger self.

The actor’s portrayal of Superman and Geralt in The Witcher still commands an incredible fan following. However, the journey for the same began with a few reps.

Arguably, the best visually physical iteration of Superman on screens, Henry Cavill enamored fans with his unique take. However, the journey to prepare himself for the same was not necessarily an easy one. Gaining some 20 pounds of sheer muscle weight for the role, the actor went all out. Yet, back in January 2022, he wished to go back in time and let his younger self know that “It is not supposed to be easy.”

Although acknowledging that “Everyone’s different,” he believed that he “would have benefited from” working on himself long before donning the red cape. The 40-year-old went through a rigorous training schedule six days a week involving weights and deadlifts to build his current stature. The result of it was him narrowly losing to Daniel Craig for James Bond, but becoming a fan-favorite with Superman and Geralt. Moreover, he also laid out fitness advice, recommending fans to “Do it your way” but by using the “right information.”
