Even if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Won’t Be Watching the ‘Trooping the Colour’ Parade Here Is How You Can
It’s been three years since the Sussex couple stepped out of the royal family. However, they continued to support them in every way they could. Prince Harry flew back to England in May 2023 to take part in his father’s coronation. Many people were puzzled by his arrival, but the Duke, Prince Harry along with Duchess Meghan Markle had also been present for the Late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. However, for this royal event that is due to unfold in a few hours, the Sussexes might not show up. And the rising allegations of tension growing between the Royal family members might be one of the reasons.
Trooping the Colour is a royal ceremony conducted by the soldiers of the British army every year. It marks the official birthday of the current monarch, and this year it’s taking place on the 17th of June 2023. This ceremony is otherwise the King’s birthday parade. The sovereign’s original birthday is on November 14th. And the celebrations are thus pushed to the warmer season to have a sunny day for the parade.
The grandiose birthday parade will have more than 1500 soldiers, 300 horses, and almost 400 musicians all together and later on, the Royals will assemble at the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the flypast by the armed forces. That will mark the end of the ceremony. The entire event will go live on multiple news networks across the nation, reports People.

The Sussexes were present last year for the late Queen Elizabeth’s platinum Jubilee celebrations. They also showed up for the Trooping The Colour in 2022. They watched the event from the Major General’s Office, which overlooks the Horse Guards Parade with extended members of the family. However, they didn’t appear with the family on the balcony to watch the flypast event. This was because the Queen wanted only the working members of the royal family to enjoy the privilege.
This year the parade rehearsals were led by the future King, Prince William. As he and his family will be one of the primary attendees. Princess Kate Middleton and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will be riding a horse-drawn carriage along with Queen Consort Camilla. Meanwhile, Prince William and Princess Anne will be participating on horseback. Other royal family members, such as Princess Beatrice and Prince Edward, will also be present with their families.
