When Euphoria was first released in 2019, the expectation ladder for the show was circling the penchants of a casual teen drama story. However, nodding to exceptional twists and turns along with its intriguing cast, the millennial story of high schoolers took a steep eclipse with relevance and cultural impact. With Zendaya at its forefront, Sydney Sweeney was another actor whose screen presence raked up the charts of anticipation for the third follow-up.

As fans were awaiting the moment to get a nod from the actors or even makers for what was next, Sweeney recently spilled the beans most suddenly.

Sydney Sweeney reveals the most-awaited Euphoria update

Recently, a clip going viral on the Internet is from a snippet view from a sit-in interview between Josh Horowitz and Sydney Sweeney, where they both talk about Immaculate following its premiere a day ago at the SXSW Film Festival. Although the episode has not yet aired, the snippet was enough to unfold madness on socials due to an unexpected Euphoria update. As Horowitz posed Sweeney about her plans post the release of Immaculate, Sweeney’s quick response was “I go into Euphoria”.

Like most fans, even Horowitz could not grasp the sudden revelation as he had yet to tease that topic. While he could hardly complete his words with the startle, he was even quicker to ask if Sweeney was hinting at the resumption of Euphoria’s filming. As Sweeney was careful to not get ahead of the updates, she resorted to a “maybe” for the response. Horowitz also asked if she had a chance to glance at the scripts. Now, Sweeney might be a polyglot star but for this question, she had one language and precisely one phrase for response, “Maybe, I don’t know”.

Even though the sudden climb and the abrupt hitting to the grounds could be confusing for fans, Sweeney’s attempt to avoid the conversation despite teasing one at least suggests that something is brewing. And to confirm this, Jacob Elordi’s statements ring a bell.

Jacob Elordi on Euphoria season 3

After 2 long years of hiatus, besides Zendaya and Sweeney’s characters, another portrayal that has been keeping fans on their toes is of Jacob Elordi. His character arc for Nate Jacob not only left fans on an inadvertent cliffhanger, but even Elordi, himself. Hence, in January, when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he expressed his hope for a quick recap of the character since the age gap has increased between him and his character.

Elordi also cued at the possibility of a time jump as he stated how they will have to “go forward”. While he acknowledged that it would be “weird” if there remains an absence to connect these dots, he did not shed any details about the filming schedule. Like him, his co-star, Sweeney also chose to keep mum about these updates. However, at least, the fact that the two have talked about the upcoming season without negating anything is a good reason to keep up the hopes.
