Amidst the success of his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, James Gunn has set the bar high for his upcoming projects, including the most awaited projects of his, Superman Legacy. Gunn revealed he was done writing the film, and fans cannot wait to see who the next Clark Kent will be. Amidst all the speculations about the film, the new DC boss has something to share about the film.

As human beings, all we need from a movie, or series is to feel something. And if any work of art can move you in any way, it is the artist’s greatest success. Considering fans’ response to Guardians 3, Gunn has successfully moved the audience. Now, during his interview with iO9, the new DC boss revealed he was planning to do something similar to his upcoming Superman film as well.

The American director does not want the next Superman movie to be unemotional. However, it is certain the DC film will differ from the Marvel film in many ways. But what Gunn is planning for Superman Legacy is to evoke some emotions in the hearts of the audience. Adding to his statement, Gunn revealed he was not looking for a specific emotion. Nevertheless, he wants Superman Legacy to be an emotional ride for the audience.

After axing Henry Cavill’s Superman, the fandom was devastated. However, with time passing, fans are somewhat hopeful about the upcoming film. The 56-year-old American filmmaker revealed he has written and is going to direct the film. Moreover, he is looking for an actor who is younger than The Witcher star, as the story requires so. Although a former Superman actor, Dylan Sprayberry expressed his willingness to work on the next project. But it seems the filmmaker has eyes on some other actors. 

As Gunn has revealed, this movie will mark the beginning of the DC Universe. Therefore, Clark Kent will have a different take from the ones we have seen until now. There are a lot of discussions going on surrounding the topic. However, fans will have to wait for the filmmaker to reveal more information about it.
