In a world where practical possibility reigns supreme, billionaire Elon Musk is always ready to break it with his one-of-a-kind and rather bizarre creations. Nothing is impossible to him until he tries it, as seen by his ideas ranging from space candy to a cyborg dragon. Despite the fact that these breakthroughs have yet to take physical form, the elite engineer entered the field of artificial intelligence with his firm, xAI, on July 12, 2023. Musk’s new venture has announced the arrival of AI Grok, a chatbot said to take the world of AI by storm.

Musk recently unveiled his ChatGPT competitor, AI Grok, to the entire world and has now revealed the inspiration behind the chatbot.

On his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that AI Grok drew inspiration from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and has a “heart of gold.” In addition, he stated that the AI assistant, unlike previous chatbots, will add humor and a touch of rebellion to the conversations. Grok is brought into existence by Musk’s latest xAI and will not only answer questions but will also propose the types of questions to be asked, making it a one-of-a-kind addition to the AI world.

In a world where AI is being closely monitored, Musk’s Grok AI is believed to push the boundaries and produce responses that a person might not expect from a chatbot. However, with invention comes immense responsibility for using it correctly, a phenomenon that Musk is well aware of. The CEO then announced that the AI would only be offered to his X (formerly Twitter) Premium+ users in an “early access program” after extensive testing.

Elon Musk, with his knowledge and passion for inventions, has a lot to offer the world. But many people are unaware that the Tesla CEO is also a voracious reader.

Books that influenced Elon Musk to achieve greatness

Former CNN CEO Walter Isaacson recently published a biography of the CEO’s life. The book follows Musk’s childhood from a shy, timid child in South Africa to the billionaire engineer he is today. Additionally, on the subject of reading, Musk informed Isaacson that a book on rockets he read in his father’s library inspired him to build rockets to travel to other worlds. Furthermore, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy were among his favorite books.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, authored by Robert Heinlein, taught the CEO that he must consider whether AI would be beneficial or harmful for humanity. The following book that influenced him was Asimov’s Foundation series, which concentrated on robotics and the zeroth rule. These theories encouraged Musk to make space travel a reality. The third book that inspired him was Douglas Adams’ the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Musk revealed that reading it helped him deal with his mental health issues.
