Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared many intimate moments about their life within the royal family in Oprah Winfrey's interview. One of them was discussing the possible color of the skin of their son. Markle and Prince Harry shared how, as he was about to be born, some members of the royal family had expressed their concerns that his skin would be too dark. Although they did not mention any names, it was obvious that the Duke and Duchess were uncomfortable discussing these conversations.

The Prince shared that he was shocked to hear these conversations. The Duke also shared that the family feud had reached levels when Prince Charles stopped receiving calls from the ginger haired Prince, leaving him "distressed". Despite that, their announcement of a baby girl to join them brought a burst of happiness to what seemed to be a hard discussion.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reveal the royal family's doubts in their Netflix documentary

In the Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, Markle spilled some candid insights as to how the royal family viewed their relationship early on.  Prince Harry revealed that right from the start, many in the royal family did not think his relationship with Meghan Markle would last. He says some members of the family were "incredibly impressed" when they first met Meghan but that their judgment was clouded by her career as an actress. This, Prince Harry explained, was compounded by what he described as a "huge level of unconscious bias" within the family.

He said that unconscious bias is not intentional, but after recognizing it, it requires conscious effort to correct and change. The Duke also shared how he did not want to be a repetition of the mistakes made by generations within the royal family.

Prince Harry spilled bold truths in his memoir - Spare

In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry dropped a series of truths about his family. One of the most revealing moments came when he spoke about a supposed physical fight with his brother, Prince William, in 2019. The Duke claims that it quickly escalated into a physical scuffle when Prince William, who was already angry about their strained relationship, grabbed him by the collar, pulled off his necklace, and threw him to the floor. He fell on a dog's bowl, which left visible injuries on his body. Despite the tension, Prince William later made amends and asked Prince Harry to keep the incident from his wife, Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry also revealed a moment when both he and his brother, Prince William, made their father, King Charles, beg not to wed now Queen Camilla. They feared that comparing her to their late mother was something they did not need.

The royal family’s alleged silent deal with Rupert Murdoch’s Papers

Prince Harry's lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers (NGN) has revealed some interesting information, especially on a secret agreement allegedly made between the royal family and the media giant. The case involves allegations of unlawful information gathering, including phone hacking, that go back decades. Prince Harry has since admitted that his family - keen to avoid further scandal and to settle other hacking cases that have been brought - has a deal with Rupert Murdoch.

The Duke said, this arrangement was all approved by the late Queen in the interests of not seeing embarrassing details emerge into the public domain, especially after the infamous 1989 "Tampongate" affair between King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Prince Harry has insisted that he only knew of the deal much later, which he says denied him his opportunity to pursue justice over allegations that his phone was tapped.

In the explosive interview on 60 Minutes, Prince Harry opens up regarding his complicated feelings about stepmother Camilla Parker Bowles, Queen Consort, saying that she is "dangerous." He said both he and his brother, Prince William, had asked their father, King Charles III, not to marry Camilla Parker Bowles after the death of Princess Diana. Harry explained that they felt her inclusion would only further damage, as she had become publicly portrayed as the "third person" in Charles and Princess Diana's marriage.

She, he says, played a game of long-game, leaking private stories to the press to cement her place in the royal family. Harry also confessed that he and Prince William did come to accept her, but initially, they wanted to protect their family's reputation.

Meghan Markle’s honest reflections in The Cut interview

The episode during the interview brought on stunned silence and again reminded of how utterly Meghan Markle had been deprived of support within an institution that was to protect her.

On the Armchair Expert podcast, Prince Harry opened up about his mental health journey, opening his mind to share something deep. He shared that, for years, he bore the weight of his royal identity, also grieving over losing his mother when he was young. The Duke explained how this time in the armed forces was a turning point that helped him see the scale of trauma and the importance of mental health.
