It is safe to say Tate Donovan has been around for many decades now. He kick-started his career in acting in the 1980s and has a wide assortment of credits in shows and movies. The Emmy winner has tried everything from lead roles to playing supporting characters on screen. One of his most memorable appearances includes the NBC sitcom Friends, which garnered a cult following upon its arrival, playing the love interest of Rachel Green on the show in season 4.

Sadly, his cameo came with a heartache because of his former fiancé, Jennifer Aniston, who was an integral part of the cast. The decision to take up the role of millionaire entrepreneur Joshua Burgin turned out wrong because the duo was splitting up in real life.

Their roles involved intimacy and love, while in real life, they were parting ways with one another at that time. So it was hard for both of them to act as if they were coming close and it broke his heart.

They only did six episodes because it was quite painful and tough to get along on the screen. Still, this experience turned out great as the entire cast was compassionate towards him, including Aniston. ” It was really ultimately a great experience of how people can treat you really well, and you still do your job even though you’re sort of dying inside, he added.
