Dwayne Johnson in a Muscle Suit? Fans Turn Into Curious Foxes as ‘Moana’ Set Images Surface
Disney live-action movies have always been a hit or a miss, in a way that a lot of times they miss to be a hit. Brushed under the rug due to the misconception that Walt Disney wished for his movies to be remade in a few decades so that all generations could experience the magic of Disney, but in actuality being just a business trend, the studio has been churning out one live-action after another. However, after a series of debacles and many debates about source accuracy turning into racial riots, in came the Moana live-action with a picture-perfect Dwayne Johnson as Maui.
In a casting wonder missing from Disney for ages, the jacked actor stemming from wrestling routes found what fans believed to be his calling. However, as images from the set of the live-action Moana movie surfaced online, instead of Dwayne Johnson, it was his muscle suit that stole the show.

It is no secret that Johnson is perhaps one of the most well-built actors in the industry and he constantly involves himself in projects that remind the audiences of the same. Therefore, that 'THE' Dwayne Johnson would need to wear a muscle suit, which got many looking a bit too closely at the pictures.

Since the bombastic success of Moana, two more projects, Moana live-action and Moana 2 animated, have been announced. Given the history of live-action Disney movies, one would assume that it is Moana 2 that fans are more excited about, but as Dwayne Johnson and Catherine Laga'aia made the cast, the assumption stood false. However, with the real-life Maui donning a muscle suit, fans are beginning to feel a different way.
From remarks about him looking comic-accurate to completely contrasting takes, the fan reactions were a mixed bunch.

While it is highly possible that the muscle suit was designed in order to avoid the heavy tattoo work on Johnson's body but that did not help ward off fan worries about the movie. And even if the studio manages to get the looks right, fans wondered how would the actor would park on the acting side of things.
