When DC scrapped plans for Black Adam's storyline, both fans and Dwayne Johnson found themselves shortchanged on superhero dreams. Since then, fans have been hoping to see Johnson in an MCU role, with Galactus being a top pick. However, The Hollywood Reporter now confirms that Marvel Studios has cast Ralph Ineson as Galactus in Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four. The British actor is popular for playing minor antagonists in franchises like Harry Potter and the Game of Thrones.
Ineson's deep, resonant voice lends itself perfectly to the role of the cosmic entity, expected to be brought to life through CGI. While Ineson's selection for Galactus may come as a surprise, particularly given earlier rumors linking actors such as Dwayne Johnson to the role, his track record of delivering standout performances makes him a natural fit for the MCU. While Johnson may have missed out on the opportunity to portray Galactus, there could be another role waiting for him.
The Rock has been rumored to be eyeing a role as an X-Men supervillain in a forthcoming MCU installment.

After facing setbacks like Black Adam, The Rock's return to WWE was seen as a strategic move to regain momentum. With the MCU's plans for an X-Men reboot in motion, Dwayne Johnson may have finally gotten the moment he was waiting for. According to insights from MyTimeToShineHello's X account, it is rumored that the 52-year-old may step into the shoes of the X-Men's formidable supervillain, En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse.
It is possible this rumored casting is aimed at the upcoming X-Men reboot, although there is speculation he could also play a Variant of the villain in an upcoming Avengers flick, given the expected crossover of original X-Men characters. Physically, Johnson certainly has the stature and presence to embody a convincing Apocalypse. However, it has been officially ruled out that he will be taking on the role of Galactus.
