Dr. Dre Once Secretly Dissed Will Smith in This Famous 2003 $273.3 Million Film
From being an aspiring rapper to becoming an Oscar-winning actor, Will Smith has come a long way. It is not a hidden fact that the Emancipation actor once wanted to be a rapper. However, despite the actor shifting his focus to his film career, he released a few albums and produced his own music as well. But for having a different taste in his music, apart from Eminem, Dr. Dre also secretly dissed the Men in Black actor in his own 2003 hit film.
Throughout his career, Smith has performed astonishingly in his films. One of his movies that became a fan-favorite was 2003’s Bad Boys 2. Dr. Dre was asked to produce background music for one of the key scenes of the film. Therefore, as PageSix reported, Dr. Dre made sure he could secretly send a message through music. Bruce Williams, Dr. Dre’s confidant for almost 2 decades, confessed the incident in his memoir Rollin’ With Dre.

He wrote Dr. Dre and he made sure they set the music from the song ‘B***ch N***az’ from the 2001 album ‘The Chronic.’ Williams added they did that because “that’s what we thought of that hater, Smith.” Actually, the Aladdin actor has always been against violence and foul words in his raps and many hop-hoppers criticized him for his soft approach.
However, despite facing backlash, the actor never changed his way of creating music. During his interview with David Letterman, Smith confessed why he never used curse words, nor did he appreciate violence in his music.

The King Richard star admitted he considered rapping fun, and it was comedy for him. He stood out in a positive way because he had his own path. Therefore, when his grandmother sent him a letter, he could never let it go. His grandmother had written that to express oneself, a truly intelligent person would not have to use those words (cuss words). “Please show the world that you’re as smart as we think you are,” wrote his grandmother.

This changed Smith’s perception, and he never used cuss words in his rap. However, it made him a target for backlash as well. Despite facing a lot of troubles, Smith still won hearts with his unique music.
