As per PEOPLE Magazine in June 2023, Ryan Reynolds first mentioned that he had had his fourth child with Blake Lively when he was announcing his series. He shared a video in which he was getting ready to read a book, and in the caption, he explained how the idea for the show shares the same birthday as his "fourth child". The couple finally revealed their youngest child, and son's name- Olin- during the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in July 2024.
