Friends may have ended over two decades ago, but their leading characters have lived on. One of those who made an inevitable place in fan’s hearts is Monica Geller. The Mother Hen of the group is known for her obsessive nature of cleanliness, competitiveness, and bossiness. Like all her buddies, the show navigated her personal and professional life, which went through many lows and highs. Fans have watched her journey in the series so many times over the years they might remember every single major event of her life.

Despite that, most of them might have failed to notice this surprising connection she has with two famous Spider-Mans. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire might not be a stranger to crossovers, but it is indeed a big deal for this television character.

How are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield connected to Monica Geller of Friends? 

Besides her restless personality, Monica Geller has remained famous for her food. One can say cooking was her comfort zone, and she moved to New York City to pursue a career in that only. In the show, fans have seen her working at many restaurants, making delicious meals for visitors. One of the most iconic scenes of the show was when she was working at the Moondance Diner. It is the same place where Mary Jane from the Spider-Man movies worked.

Many fans might remember how Kirsten Dunst hid her outfit from Peter Parker in the film played by Tobey Maguire. Well, Monica Geller can certainly understand her feelings because she went through the same process. The blonde wig, rollerskates, and massive fake breasts often made viewers laugh when she stepped out in that dress.

Also, the character of Andrew Garfield from Tick, Tick… Boom! used to work in the diner during his years of struggles. The film showed Jonathan Larson making a living through this job in 1990 while working on his passion project Superbia. Meanwhile, the bigger question now arises is whether the restaurant that helped these characters in tough times still exists or not.

Does the famous Moondance diner still exist? 

Believe it or not, the Moondance diner has managed to survive to this day. However, the Diner faced closure in 2007 because they could not afford the rent and got scheduled for demolition. Fortunately, the America Diner Museum preserved this memorable place, and later Vincent and Cheryl Pierce bought it for  $7,500.

In 2o12, they put up the restaurant for sale again for $300,000 and the owners really took it hard because the place became like a family for them. As of now, this famous outlet sits empty in Tiny LaBarge, Wyoming.
