While Travis Kelce was already a celebrated figure in the sports world, his popularity and fanbase soared even higher upon his association with Taylor Swift. The unforgettable spectacle of the Super Bowl highlighted Kelce's dominance on the field, with Swift serving as a pillar of support for the NFL champion from the sidelines. Amidst this real-life romcom scene that played out at the Super Bowl, there was one small nod by Travis Kelce that many may have missed, which hinted at his interest in WWE as well.

With Jason Kelce making an appearance at WrestleMania 40 to support Rey Mysterio, speculation arose about whether Travis Kelce, his younger brother, also joined him. Here is the truth.

After winning his third Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11, Travis Kelce made headlines by sporting a custom gold WWE wrestling belt during the team's celebrations. This sparked speculation about a potential WWE appearance for the star. And it seemed like it might have just happened as a viral footage of the NFL champion at WrestleMania 40 showed him taking down “Dirty” Dom. However, it was not Travis Kelce, but David Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce.

In a discussion with Sportskeeda, Bill Apter speculated that Kelce and his brother could potentially show up at WWE's grandest stage. Given the Kelce brothers' frequent discussions about wrestling on their podcast and their scheduled presence in Philadelphia, where WrestleMania 40 was taking place, Apter's prediction seemed logical. However, Kelce’s appearance at the event could have also raised some eyebrows, particularly considering the alleged hostility towards his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, from someone within WWE.

Taylor Swift was extended an invitation to attend WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia by WWE wrestler and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Rollins also invited another NFL superstar, George Kittle, to the event. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Rollins eagerly suggested, "We can have both of the Kelces there, why not? Let’s have a party. Bring your girl. Bring all the Swifties. Let’s go.” However, it seemed that the invitation was not well-received by another WWE star.

Grayson Waller, allegedly holding a grudge against Taylor Swift for some time, reacted on his X account, formerly Twitter, with a GIF simply stating "No". Moreover, last year, Waller even issued a challenge to Travis Kelce for a match at WrestleMania 40 to defend the honor of his “girlfriend”. Considering this alleged hostility, and the fact that the couple was taking some time off from work, it was understandable why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might have chosen to skip WrestleMania 40.
