Despite the Fall From Royal Ranks, Meghan Markle Raises the Stakes for Her ‘Suits’ Era Rental

First there was a childhood home in California with a father that would leave not long after and then there was a Kensington Palace in the United Kingdom, which Meghan Markle would have to leave not long after. However, between the red and blue, there was a violet:- a cozy rental in Toronto with a plum-tinted exterior that she called her home.

Markle may live in $14 million home in Montecito now, and in Frogmore Cottage before that, but that does not take away from the luxury of the rental home she lived in while working on Suits.

A frequent narrative that emerges when Meghan Markle is at the center of affairs is that she has forgotten her roots. However, the Duchess of Sussex has proven through countless actions that it is far from the truth. In fact, she is a gift that does not stop giving, voluntarily or involuntarily. The latter was the case as her rental abode got listed at a whopping price of $1.39 million as per Mansion Global.

Although no match to the 18,671 square feet mansion that she lives in now, Markle's home had three bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a beautiful patio. Said house also got a shout-out in Prince Harry's best-selling memoir Spare, as he looked back on his dating days with Meghan Markle, when she excitedly showed him around her house and introduced him to his dogs.

While celebrity culture is all about the latest red carpet fashion looks, Meghan Markle has merged royal and celeb to serve the ultimate 'ty (tea)' with her outstanding fashion choices. Markle has truly inhabited the age-old saying 'love her or hate her, you cannot ignore her' with the chokehold she has on fashion. Despite the controversies she may evoke with her interviews, what she wears in them is sure to touch the best-selling charts.

This upper hand in fashion allowed the Duchess of Sussex to keep her head high back in the UK as well, where people constantly compared her to Kate Middleton. And it was probably this very talent that urged her to launch a lifestyle brand of her own. However, it is to be seen whether Markle manages to get the same update as her old rental abode.
