A former co-star of Jada Pinkett Smith, Tommy Davidson revealed on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast that Will had once confronted him for a scene on the set of Woo in 1998. He recalled that the incident took place after an on-screen kiss with the Worthy author. While the kiss was for the film, the comedian had not given his co-star a heads-up before planting one on her.

He went on to say that Will had walked into his trailer and said, “I don’t appreciate that, man.” Even though the comedian had asked the 55-year-old what he was talking about, he kept on repeating how he did not “appreciate” the entire time. Davidson said that Jada was also present and was trying to calm her husband down. He even offered to go somewhere private to discuss things with Smith. However, Jada quickly shot that idea down, and “that was the end of that.”

While it may not be the first time Will Smith felt the need to defend his wife, the revelation came shortly after she told the world that their marriage was not what it seemed to be.
