Kanye West may be known for his fashion, but he was wrong about one outfit. It was he with whom Kim Kardashian first went to MET Gala back in 2013. The socialite was glowing with pregnancy as she made a delicate but glamorous debut in the exclusive fashion event. She wore a floral Givenchy dress and admitted to doing her own makeup. That only marked the beginning of Kardashian’s infiltration of the MET Gala.

While it was her former husband that helped her begin the journey, the 42-year-old quickly grasped the idea and began exploring hi-fashion. But one particular outfit of hers was publicly disapproved by him. It eventually turned out to be the most successful outfit of the socialite that trends even today.

Ye and Kardashian always took pride in twinning with each other as they attended the MET Gala in the most unimaginable outfits. But in an old episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the ‘Donda’ singer disapproved of his then-wife’s Thierry Mugler dress worn in 2019. Per him, it was too revealing, and did not approve of his wife showing off her body, especially since she was expecting her fourth baby via a surrogate. However, she stood her ground and went on to wearing it, anyway. And it worked for her.

According to JustJared, the outfit stands at the Number 10 position with 60,90,868 engagements. The dress was a sheen, chandelier-like outfit in a nude shade with pearls, showing off her figure with a tight fitting. Her photos with Ye from the event showed him in his usual serious face, while she posed proudly. One of her other outfits that made the list was also her Balenciaga black all-covered attire back in 2021 with 7,500,000 engagements.

With 2023 MET Gala coming closer, there is an increasing anticipation about what she could wear. But that’s the secondary question.

Despite the snubbing rumors, the Kardashian recently shared her visit to the late designer’s office in Paris where she posed with his cat and apparently got inspirations for her outfit for this year’s event.
