Lives of a group of people, who lived in New York from 1994 to 2004, still gives fans a calming experience. And they belong to the NBC sitcom, Friends, which portrayed the 6 characters trying to balance their social, personal, professional, and emotional lives. From Ross and Rachel’s rollercoaster love story to Chandler and Monica’s adventurous one, from Phoebe and Mike’s magical story to Joey’s innocent one, the ’90s sitcom showcased all the events throughout the course of 10 seasons.

Though even after 19 years, the show is still adored by fans of all ages, there was, however, only one season that did justice to all the characters in the show. But what season is that exactly?

This season of Friends justified all the characters of the show

Throughout 9 seasons of this memorable show, the viewers witnessed all the characters growing in every aspect. However, the only season that justified all the character arcs was season 10. The main reason was that the entire season explored all the characters’ stories and ended them the way it was supposed to be, giving them the perfect closure. Monica and Chandler adopted babies along with getting ready to shift to a new home. Rachel “got off the plane” to give her relationship with Ross another chance.

Phoebe and Mike also got their happy ending, with Joey ready to move on to the next chapter of his life. If we look at the beginning of the show, the first season mainly focused on Rachel being a part of the group while adjusting to her new life. The second season explored the detailed layers of Ross as his relationship with Rachel began. And the third season portrayed the infamous breakup, which fans still debate whether or not they were on a break.

But then, the next season shifted the focus to Phoebe as she agreed to be a surrogate for her brother. Again, the fifth season explored Ross’ character when he dealt with his failed marriage with Emily. Finally, Chandler and Monica got their big break on the 6th season as Chandler went “through the tunnel” to overcome his fear of commitment. And the following season highlighted the preparations for their wedding.

And the 9th season was about Rachel bringing Emma to the world. It was not until the season finale that all the stories were individual. But after exploring all the character arcs throughout 9 seasons, the 10th one gave them the ultimate turn where everybody got everything they conflicted about throughout. However, there were some questions about the aftermath of Joey’s character. But there is an answer to that as well.

What happened to Joey after the sitcom ended?

When Chandler, at the end of the final episode, said, “Sure. Where?” to Rachel’s question about having a cup of coffee, every Friends fan cried. They also thought about Joey being alone while everyone else got their perfect ending. Well, Joey Tribbiani also got to explore his life after the ending of the show in a spin-off, Joey.

He went to Holywood in order to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. However, he ended up living with his nephew Micheal. Did you know that when Matt LeBlanc got this spin-off series, the cast of the show was a little upset? Matthew Perry mentioned this incident in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. However, they all settled their grudges and moved on in their lives.
