There have been many Superman adaptations over the years. However, when Henry Cavill appeared as the Kryptonian in the 2013 movie, Man of Steel, fans were impressed. Nevertheless, Tyler Hoechlin, who portrayed DC’s favorite superhero in The CW’s series, instantly became a fan favorite. But it looks like his fate as the superhero in trouble.
Not so long ago, fans chose Hoechlin’s portrayal of the Kryptonian in The CW series over Henry Cavill’s portrayal. However, The CW’s series, Superman and Lois, seems to be on the verge of getting canceled. As reported by Giant Freakin Robot, because of the show’s massive production expenses, it is not profiting the network. Now, despite being a popular show in the history of television, the production might cancel the show altogether.

Starting with Smallville, the two have made programs set in the DC Universe, then moving to the Arrowverse. Superman & Lois was meant to be the most recent addition to the extensive history of DC stories. Since the Arrowverse and other DC shows are leaving the network, Superman & Lois, although it’s doing well, may also be canceled.
But is there any chance to save the show?

HBO Max is reportedly famous for hosting high-budget shows like The Last of Us. Therefore, if the show shifts to HBO Max, maybe, just maybe, there is a possibility of saving the fan-favorite show from sinking.
However, if they do not want to move the show to another network, there is one more option. If The CW can find a way to reduce the cost of production while maintaining the quality of the show, they can be successful in saving the show. This cost-cutting can be affected on various levels of the entire production process. However, if the showmakers really want to save the show, they need to find a way around it.
