Ahead of her appearance at the MET Gala this year, one thing is clear: her fashion sense has certainly evolved through the years. Back in 2021, she turned up for the event in a fitted, long Balenciaga outfit in an almost ghost-like black look. According to ET, it reminded many of Ye’s style, and wondered if she took inspiration from him. Which was, in fact, true. She even gave credit to him during an interview with Vogue, despite their ongoing differences back then.

The outfit consisted of her being covered from top to bottom. She was wearing a hoodie, a top, pants, and boots, with a mask to cover her face. The socialite was not initially pleased to have her face covered, but the design team convinced her that it was not about the face, but the concept. Then again, her unique figure did not go unrecognized.

It remains one of the trendiest and most remembered MET Gala outfit to this day with 7,500,000 engagement on Instagram, according to JustJared. Interestingly, an outfit that the rapper was against also quite popular among masses.

When together, the two paparazzi favorites were dubbed as the ‘best-dressed couple’ back in 2016. Kardashian wore a long shimmery silver gown with a wet hair look. While he rocked ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, and a shiny white jacket teamed with exotic lenses.

Both of their outfits were designed by long-time friend Olivier Rousteing, who also received appreciation for his work. It will be seen what Kardashian brings to the table this year.
