A source recently told Life & Style Magazine that they are “retreating to their country home for the holidays” because they “need time with their kids” after what the source described as a “crazy year.” The insider added that Reynolds and Lively are fully "committed” to this plan and have cleared their schedules for the foreseeable future.

Of course, it was not just movies that kept Reynolds and Lively so busy this year. They both had major business ventures on their plates too. The Gossip Girl alum launched her new hair care line while juggling promotions for It Ends With Us, and the Deadpool star took his Wrexham business to the next level with new collaborations and achievements. Ryan Reynolds is reportedly reuniting with his Deadpool & Wolverine crew- Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy- for a brand-new project. And no, it is not about Marvel or superheroes this time. In an interview on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Reynolds gave a little hint, saying, "I’m spending the year writing". His live-action road comedy Animal Friends is also in post-production, and so is his action-adventure film Mayday.

Blake Lively, on the other hand, has wrapped filming for A Simple Favor 2, which is expected to hit theaters in 2025. While there were rumors of some drama surrounding the project, Lively seems to have put that behind her. However, with their new plans to prioritize family time, it is unclear if Lively will join the promotional run for her film or if Reynolds will continue writing for his project with Levy and Jackman in 2025.
