However, Keen's wishes might just go in vain since Marvel Comics recently had a disheartening update for her character.

Dafne Keen's much sought-after character X-23 is no more in Marvel Comics

Laura Kinney, AKA X-23, has officially died in Marvel Comics' X-Men #31. After 21 years in the Marvel canon, Laura sacrificed herself to save humanity and mutant kind from extinction. Synch, who stored her psychic imprint, was forced to let go of it to defeat Nimrod, ending any chance of resurrection. These heroic acts saved countless lives but came at a great cost, or so they say.

Laura's death concluded a storied history, including her complex relationship with Wolverine and her time fighting alongside the X-Men. Recently, she spent 100 years trapped in the Vault with Synch, where they fell in love. While Dafne Keen's portrayal of X-23 in the MCU sparked hope for a cinematic return, Laura's comic book demise may diminish those chances.
