During last week's CinemaCon, Marvel and Disney presented a segment from Deadpool & Wolverine that, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, guarantees will also feature at the start of the theatrical release. The segment initially resembled a theatrical PSA, with Deadpool engaging Wolverine in theories on Secret Wars, teasing the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars. However, Deadpool's attempts to reveal secrets were repeatedly interrupted by his ringing phone, much to Wolverine's growing irritation.
Eventually, Hugh Jackman, in character, addressed the cameras with some expletives, emphasizing that the cinema is not a place for distractions. It was only after Deadpool intervened to calm the situation that Wolverine's frustration eased. While the inclusion of this segment in theaters has been assured by the reported source, Marvel and Disney have remained silent. However, given Ryan Reynolds' commitment to preserving the cinematic experience by avoiding leaks, the message against phone usage aligns well with his intentions to ensure uninterrupted cinematic thrills.
With the assurance of this PSA’s feature in the theaters, it is expected that the fans will only have their eyes on the screen in front and not the ones in their pockets. But to ensure the same, Shawn Levy recently lifted the shroud of secrecy about one of the inherent misconceptions surrounding the film.

Since the release of the first two Deadpool films several years ago, fans have eagerly anticipated more, laying the foundation for the creation of Deadpool & Wolverine. Initially referred to as Deadpool 3, the film hinted at being a sequel to its predecessors until recently, when director Levy shed light on the title change in an exclusive interview with Screen Rant at CinemaCon. He clarified that it is undoubtedly “the third Deadpool movie, but it's not Deadpool 3”.
Levy emphasized that the film revolves around Deadpool but is not an attempt to replicate the formula of the previous movies; instead, it is a two-character-driven adventure featuring both Deadpool and Wolverine equally. Thus, the inclusion of both characters in the title is justified. Consequently, it would be inaccurate to view the film as a direct sequel to its predecessors, and bringing the PSA to theaters could benefit viewers by keeping them focused, as the story has its foundation separate from the earlier films, although not entirely disconnected.
