In an extensive interview with Variety, director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman discussed their upcoming film, Deadpool & Wolverine, and their journey so far in the MCU, inside out. With all the theories and speculations for Deadpool x Avengers, the trio struggled to dodge the question about Reynolds' and Jackman's potential appearance in the Avengers. The former replied with a cryptic "I don't know," while Jackman seemed unsure how to respond. 

In an attempt to avoid the question, Shawn Levy jokingly told the team to prepare their evasive answers for future interviews. Reynolds meanwhile reiterated their 'can't-tell-nothing' attitude by saying "An echoing cough in the distance; a hawk circles.' You can throw that in there if you like”. The actors’ enigmatic response has only fueled speculation about their future in the MCU.
