‘Deadpool 3’ Run Time: Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Up the Ante With an Exciting Update
$2.799 billion. The number stands for the box office gross that Marvel Studios pocketed with their 2019 release Avengers: Endgame, a movie for which fans waited in anxious breaths. Soon after, the likes of Spider-Man: No Way Home came close in hype and excitement, but not in sheer numbers. Years later, in 2024, the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman outing of Deadpool & Wolverine not only wins in the fans’ anticipation department but can also potentially fill in the studios’ treasury, coming off as arguably its biggest release in a long time.
To harden the fact that this movie means business, one latest update stands in favor.
Deadpool & Wolverine breaks a franchise trend

The previous two Deadpool movies have made direct references to Hugh Jackman, his character of Wolverine, and even featured a cut-and-stitch clip from 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, the upcoming 2024 flick will have him in all his glory, with a story, and ready to shake up the multiverse. Along with this, Deadpool & Wolverine will also break a runtime trend within the franchise by clocking in at 2 hours and 10 minutes, as per the latest updates on X, formerly Twiby Features First.
For comparison, the first film had a 1 hour and 48 minutes duration while the second one played along for 2 hours. Furthermore, the runtime also puts it significantly ahead of the 1 hour and 45 minutes duration of the last MCU film, The Marvels. The current runtime feels apt for embalming the characters and the numerous expected cameos into a streamlined story without dragging it beyond necessity. Thus, fans can expect a well-gelled play-out of the first-ever R-rated Marvel movie.
Apart from the shy teases featured in its first teaser trailer, Deadpool & Wolverine may pack an even bigger punch than anticipated.
Henry Cavill, Channing Tatum, Taylor Swift and more expected to feature in star-studded line-up

Deadpool & Wolverine already packs the mother of all fan services by bringing the beloved pair-up of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together after their botched 2009 match. Yet, director Shawn Levy teased the movie to pack a bunch of original X-Men cameos in the mix. Additionally, rumors of Taylor Swift playing the Dazzler and Channing Tatum as the Gambit have also surfaced.
In comparison to the above two rumors, which stand pale and slightly improbable, another one stands out. Promising developments have stated ex-Superman Henry Cavill to appear as a Wolverine variant in the upcoming July 26 release. Pitched to wear a long brown coat, the talks have since sent the fandom into an overdrive of anticipation in wait for further official teases.
