When the writer’s strike first took place, no one understood the gravity. Weeks later now, the group is struggling to come to a conclusion, and a few shows have come to a halt. But if the SAG-AFTRA follows suit, it will be big trouble for big projects. Scheduled movies could be delayed for an unforeseen amount of time, and this includes Deadpool 3. The movie is already scheduled to release far away, on 3rd May 2024. However, if this strike continues for a month or two, it could change the fate of the project. Even movies like Oppenheimer had to move things despite being close to release.
Delays already pose a burden financially, but such a long period for a movie of this scale could be problematic if they do not find a solution. When the news of the writers’ strike came out, it was reported that the movie has nearly completed its shoot. Neither Ryan Reynolds nor any other members who are part of the movie have spoken out yet. With big names like Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner joining the cast, it will be seen how the problem is dealt with.
The strikes, however, are supposed to be abided by the people that fall under them. We could possibly also see some of them partake in it.

SAG-AFTRA stands for Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. The federation went on a strike over failed contracts with production companies. A lot like the writer’s strike, they want fair payment for its actors. The second thing they want is control over the usage of AI, which could replace their jobs.
After all, it is only the ones at the top that get paid in millions, but the supporting actors are often paid unfairly. It will be seen whether a full-on strike happens, or if a solution is found on the problem.
