The DC Cinematic Universe has set its sights on reconquering its characters, and productions have started with a banger, even before any releases. Ever since its official announcement as part of the first part of the DCU’s new universe; Chapter One: Gods and Monsters in January 2023, Lanterns has been anticipated impatiently by the audience. With its production in the hands of one of the most in-lead houses, HBO, the quality of the show is something the anticipators are not quite as worried about, especially after its latest addition, behind the 'seams'.
The assurance also stays on track as the fans get news of one seasoned actor after another joining the caste to play roles of and of those surrounding Hal Jordan and John Stewart, (Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre respectively), and even more assured when they know the rack of the cast's threads are going to be as immaculate as no other.

Nexus Point News has reported Emmy Awardee, Cynthia Ann Summers, as the newest crafter of the astronomical DCU fragment by HBO, The Lanterns, having formed a niche of blending together out-of-this-world aesthetics to make them un-jarring to the human cognitive capacity yet maintain the the stupor within them when the audience bears witness; from the uncomfortable and bright Lemony Snickets: A Series of unfortunate Events, to the perilous blues and greys of Snowpiercer, Summers’ costuming has formed some of the most trademark visions of the past, the present, as well as, the future, in our minds.
Summers is well known to finesse the lived in ruddiness of human clothing mixed with ensembles that belong purely to a post-apocalyptic world, and the bright and piercing green of The Lanterns might just be the best if adapted by the The Last of Us costume designer. The Lanterns, True Detective-inspired cop story has an air similar to those of the ‘cyro suits’ of the Forward Unto Dawn caste, which also famously, Summers’ own work.
The costumer, renowned as she is, might just have received the pinnacle of recognition for her collaboration with HBO, again, for the reportedly three-season-long : The Last of Us, another grief ridden, dystopian realm that we know very well of.
'The Last of Us', the utmost of Cynthia Ann Summers
The 30th SAG winning show following beloved characters Ellie and Joel trudging through disaster-ridden lands, will surely not have the most pristine clothes on them, and while acting the character out no-doubt is what brings the character out in the first place, the clothes of any persona tells about half of the story, the details added by Summers on Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey to depict them as two lone walkers of the planet, helpless yet bound by hope and empathy, no one could have covered them in rags better than Cynthia Ann Summers did.
