Suits: LA set to star DC television’s crown jewel

Created and executive produced by Aaron Korsh of the original Suits fame, Suits: LA just found its lead star in Stephen Amell. The 42-year-old Canadian star of CW’s Arrow fame has received recognition for his role as Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow in the aforementioned production as well as in The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. Breaking the news, the actor took to X (formerly Twitter) with a quirky line stating, “I know a thing or two about building a universe.”

Amell will star as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, taking over the Los Angeles attorney scene for wealthy clients. Suits: LA will take place in the same continuity as Suits and apart from the location, will differ in the storyline following the main character’s rise to the top while dealing with a set of personal and professional challenges instead of the original’s photographic memory trope. Additionally, its tone and narrative will follow the lines of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) and NCIS.

Meanwhile, as far as news concerning the parent show, the only major event in store for fans is a possible reunion in summer 2024, which Meghan Markle might not attend.
