The Sussexes wrapped up the 2023 Invictus Games after a week of thrilling sports showdown. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated the closing ceremony on the 16th of September, along with all the other veteran participants. Despite stepping down from the royal duties, the couple continued their tradition of organizing the international multi-sport event to support and inspire the disabled service personnel. Despite the noble deeds, both the Sussexes bear the brunt of constant criticism from many. 

Ever since the infamous Megxit, people have been constantly searching for things to point out the shortcomings of the Sussexes. One such supporter of the royal family, who is also a PR expert, recently took a jab at the Duchess.

Meghan Markle scrutinized by a PR expert

After the commencement of the 2023 Invictus Games, there had been a lot of speculation regarding Markle’s absence from the event. Many even talked about the Sussexes not being on good terms with each other. However, the 42-year-old put an end to the chatter by joining her husband at the event on 12th September, three days after the opening ceremony. Recently, PR expert, Edward Coram-James, appeared in an interview with The News and criticized her for showing up late at the event. 

Markle shared during her Invictus speech that she was helping her kids out ahead of the events which led to her arriving late. However, as per James, the Duchess was using “parenting” as an excuse as she was attending “seemingly less personally significant events this year”. The PR expert criticized Markle for not attending the two most important days of her husband: the coronation of his father and the Invictus opening ceremony. 

Apart from James, the Sussexes received a fair share of criticism from the Television personality Kelly Osbourne as well.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex caught the eye of the haters ever since they publicly criticized the Royal family. Many royal insiders, along with supporters of the monarch, berated the Prince and his wife for ditching their roots. This includes the 38-year-old star Osbourne who repeatedly voiced her opinions about the Duke. Three months back, the actress took a jab at the Duke, calling him “a f*cking twat” and many other derogatory terms.

Recently, she revisited her interview and bashed the 39-year-old Prince along with his wife on her recent family show, The Osbourne Podcast. She remained steadfast in her opinion about the Susssexes and attributed their constant portrayal of “victims” as the reason. The star also went on to criticize the Duke and Duchess for tainting the name of the royals and for not making use of their royal position to bring positive changes in the world.
