During a Fan Expo appearance in San Francisco in Moscone Centre last year, Charlie Cox revealed the second season of Marvel’s revival series, Daredevil: Born Again, will start filming before the first installment’s upcoming premiere on March 4, 2025. When the series was first announced, it was an 18-episode series. However, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum, explained to Phase Hero the reasons behind splitting the show into two seasons.

According to Winderbaum, the first round of the MCU TV series was “experimental” when Daredevil tried long-format storytelling. Having learned a few lessons including the effects of “shutdowns due to the strikes,” the conditioning that such a drawn-out cliffhanger may not have fans hooked for a weekly TV show, they had to “reassess the episodes” to see what they had. However, a release date for the season is yet to be declared.
