Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is expanding and its latest installment is Madame Web. The upcoming film has been modestly teasing Marvel fans for quite some time now. About three months back, the creators dropped the trailer of the movie featuring Dakota Johnson and her gang, including Sydney Sweeney and Celeste O’Connor. Following that the leading web-slinger has stirred the internet with her short promotional video. The actress has promised fans a thrilling experience.

In the video, the American star discussed her upcoming movie Madame Web and how her titular character can see the future. But it seems she has also embraced some qualities while playing the role and said she also has the same power. “I know what the future brings,” she implied for her film.

According to her, viewers would love the film when it hit theatres on February 14, 2024. The Persuasion star was so confident she added, “I think you’re going to see it twice”. This film weaves a powerhouse of a talented actress in the intricate web where Johnson’s character gets forced to confront revelations about her past.
While the leading star showed truth in the work the team did, it failed to convince fans who were quick to respond to this post.

Seeing this post, several fans turned to the comment section to share their views about Johnson’s statement. Fans blasted the actress, saying one time would be enough to watch Madame Web and it might not need to be twice. Some went further and said they would not see it at all because this film does not have the same energy or vibe that a Spider-Man film should have.

This might not be the kind of reaction Sony would have wanted for the movie but the film is yet to hit theaters and who knows if fans change their minds. Not only does Johnson believe this, but her co-star Sydney Sweeney has vouched for her film previously in her interview with Variety. She said the film was “different” and would be far beyond what fans can expect from a superhero film.
