Blake Lively shared some pictures from a surprise screening of It Ends with Us at Book Bonanza in Grapevine, Texas, along with a lengthy heartfelt caption. She began by proudly mentioning her title on social media as the "crown straightener", which meant a lot to the Gossip Girl alum. Lively then went on to acknowledge all the amazing women who filled her weekend with "empowering female energy", including Colleen Hoover, her mother-in-law, the women at Sony Pictures, and many others.
In the photos Lively shared, she was seen adjusting Colleen Hoover's outfit and hair while enjoying the screening with her girl gang. Blake Lively shared a memory from her past while describing the Book Bonanza event. The actress recalled that the last time she had so much fun around books was when she "pretended to study for finals at Barnes & Noble Burbank". Although it was a pretense, it made her feel like a "grown-up", and she appreciated Colleen Hoover and the literary event for bringing back those memories.
Lively also reminisced about how she used to stalk her crushes and indulge in Frappuccinos with extra whipped cream and syrup while pretending to study. She even tagged Brittney Smith to weigh in on the anecdote. While it is evident that Lively is having the time of her life with It Ends with Us promotions, given the scrutiny the adaptation is already facing, only time will tell if she will leave the theaters with the same feeling on August 9.
