When Friends was released in 1994, it became an instant smash. But, in addition to the snarky quips of its characters, the show provided the audience with some great relationships. While the first half centered on Ross and Rachel’s romance, the second half delved more into Courteney Cox’s Monica and Matthew Perry’s Chandler’s love story. Two very different people got together to form one of the most stunning on-screen partnerships.

Monica, played by Courteney Cox, truly found her lobster in Perry’s Chandler Bing. To remember all the lovely times they enjoyed together, the actress took to her social media account to share a bit of Mondler’s love story.

The audience has been a witness to many wonderful love tales over the years. Chandler and Monica, however, were in another league entirely. Courteney Cox shared a season 4 clip of the hit sitcom on her Instagram feed. The storyline of The One with Ross’ wedding was highlighted in the excerpt. Monica had a fling with Chandler in the same episode because someone referred to her as Ross’ mother. What the audience would see, however, was the start of a beautiful journey.

According to the actress, they were supposed to be a “one-night fling in London.” However, because of the reaction of the audience, it became the “beginning of their story.” Marta Kauffman and David Crane made the cheering in the live studio crowd a permanent affair. Crane went on to say that the initial plan was to have Chandler and Monica meet for a one-time event as part of a two-part conclusion. The crowd, on the other hand, demonstrated that “it could be more.”
