In a delightful twist for die-hard Friends aficionados, original scripts from the cherished sitcom resurfaced. Thought to be long lost, the script went up for auction after languishing in a dustbin for 25 years. These scripts, capturing the essence of two London-based episodes shot in 1998, focused on the memorable wedding of Ross. Set to hit the auction block on January 12, they carried an estimated value ranging from $650 to $870.
The unexpected find occurred when a vigilant studio worker discovered the scripts discarded in a dustbin at Wembley’s Fountain Studios. More so, the episodes were filmed there. Originally slated for destruction post-production, the scripts managed to escape their fate. The anonymous custodian, responsible for studio cleanliness, stumbled upon the scripts a few weeks after the conclusion of filming. Unsure of their significance, he tucked them away in his office drawer, unaware of the potential goldmine he held.
