Rumors circulated in the royal corridors that the Duke and Duchess had “not been invited” to celebrate Christmas in the Duke’s homeland. However, a close friend of Prince Harry disclosed to The Sunday Times that the pair “would love to” spend Christmas with the Buckingham Palace royals, as his father, King Charles, has never been with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during the holiday season. This would further help to reestablish the father-son bond after the couple was asked to vacate their Frogmore home this year. However, they have allegedly not been invited.
Despite the attention focused on the royal family, the prince supposedly made a point of calling his father on his 75th birthday. He also showed him a video of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet singing Happy Birthday to their grandfather. According to some, this would be a watershed moment in the couple’s lives. However, there is no comment confirming anything from the royals.
Meanwhile, the Duchess intends to celebrate the holidays with her children rife with special moments.

The former actress has been a hands-on mother since the birth of her first child, Prince Archie, in 2019 and Princess Lilibet in 2021. This approach of hers is visible in the customs and decorum that she and her husband, Prince Harry, want to establish in their children, as she revealed to E! News recently. While they have their traditions, the star stated that they are also interested in “creating new ones now.”
Markle also stated that “trimming” and “decorating” the Christmas tree is her favorite activity with her kids. It’s also worth noting that the couple’s first two Christmases were spent with the royal family at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate. Two years later, she chose to spend it with her mother, Doria Ragland. However, given the recent family schisms, it will be interesting to see where the Duke and Duchess will spend their holidays this year.
