After hiring Phoebe Waller-Bridge to write the next 007 film, the franchise might book their director as well. As Giant Freakin Robot reported, the James Bond franchise might poach the Argylle director, Matthew Vaughn.

Vaughn is currently directing the most-anticipated 2024 film, Argylle with The Witcher star. Now, if the Bond franchise is going to hire The King’s Man director, there are chances of the Enola Holmes actor being cast as James Bond as well. If the franchise goes with the Vaughn-Cavill pair for their upcoming project, it will mark their second film together.

However, there is no official confirmation about the same. But the Layer Cake director once opened up about how he was a huge fan of the Bond franchise. He also admitted the Bond movies had greatly influenced his work while citing his upcoming film, Argylle, as well. “I love Bond. It’s obviously a huge influence on me… You wait till you see Argylle,” said the 52-year-old director. But not only the Superman star, there is one more actor who is making his way to the top of the list for the James Bond role.

Apart from Henry Cavill, the other British actor could also make it to the race

Actors like Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Regé-Jean Page, and many other actors are running for this iconic role. However, there is one other actor who has the potential to beat other actors, Aaron Taylor-Johnson. There has been tough competition between Taylor-Johnson and Cavill. However, if the franchise decided to go with Matthew Vaughn as the director, there are chances of Aaron Taylor-Johnson being cast as well.
