Life is too short to step out in bland outfits, and nobody knows this better than Sydney Sweeney. The stunning 26-year-old catches eyeballs every time she steps out in her signature chic ensembles, the credit for which goes to her fashion whisperer, Molly Dickson. Her audacious artistry is the invisible hand guiding Sweeney’s remarkable achievements in the fashion industry. Even the epic moment when the Euphoria star stole the spotlight at the MTV VMAs in 2022 with a crop top and Miu Miu skirt.

The stylist recently shed light on the process that went into creating that fit, including a surprising detail about Sweeney’s role in it.

In an episode of the Who What Wear podcast from yesterday, Dickson spoke about the VMAs moment of Sweeney’s that broke the internet. According to the fashion guru, that ensemble was “all Syd” who was and remains “very involved” in the process. Apparently, the Reality actress herself found the inspiration for that delicious fit, which was from a Todd Oldham runway from 1995!

After the Spokane native suggested the vintage look, Dickson created a “mood board” that would shape the custom Miu Miu outfit Sweeney eventually wore. She attested to the 26-year-old’s immense ‘passion for fashion’ and felt that she inspired her to be a “better stylist” as well. Not that Dickson needs any encouragement, considering her portfolio of megastar clients. 

Besides Sweeney, Molly Dickson currently serves as a stylist to many A-listers, including a Stranger Things star.

In December last year, Dickson launched her own collection in partnership with popular clothing brand, Madewell. As a favorite among Tinseltown stylists, she has found herself catering to some of the biggest stars of the young generation. Among them is Sadie Sink, who rose to fame through Netflix’s Stranger Things. Like Sweeney, Sink became a fashion icon through partnerships with Armani Beauty and Miu Miu due to the wardrobe wizardry of Dickson. 

Another young star who is a client of hers is 13 Reasons Why’s Katherine Langford. The Australian actress has seen success in the beauty realm as well through a brand deal with L’Oréal Paris. Meanwhile, Dickson is also a prominent social media personality who dishes hot tips on DIY styling through her Instagram and Who What Wear podcast.
