Pitt’s dating rumors with Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie while still being married to Aniston caused a whirlwind of chaos. And amidst much public attention, the couple split up with a $29 million settlement. However, their separation was far from the usual sense of rebellion. It was calm and mutual, as they both understood navigating the heartbreak.

In 2008, a few years after their divorce, Jennifer Aniston told Vogue that her cuts were not that deep. The Friends actress has repeatedly said she does not harbor any ill will against Brad Pitt owing to the divorce. In fact, she was so understanding about it that she “can’t even remember the darkness.”
According to the actress, the situation was not as painful as the media and people took it to be. Pitt too corroborated how understanding Aniston was despite the rumors that emerged during their marriage. The now 54-year-old actress then went on to marry Justin Theroux in 2015.
However, Aniston’s marriage to Theroux fell apart in 2018 and so did Pitt’s with Jolie in 2019. In spite of that, the former couple have still maintained their contact. Now is their friendship still limited to being friends or is something more on the cards?

At the backdrop of the SAG Event, Brad Pitt said, “She’s a good friend.”
In the face of hostility, adversity, and discontent that the media perceives them to be, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston remain humble friends. After a divorce settlement that had media attention all over, the former couple enjoys ample independence in their lives. As such, the only thing to come out of the couple’s reunion is the warmth of friendship.
