The A-list couple, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively is a well known match made in heaven, or as it is known well throughout the Hollywood industroy. Married in October of 2012, the couple is rarely known to attend mega red carpet shows, unless they have to, often dodging their attendance in the guise of ‘spending the night at home’, being exceptionally vocal about their responsibilities as parents as well.

The tentative confirmation of their attendance at the Oscars of the 2025 season, however,  might be slightly more different this year, neither a night spent cozying up at home, nor any parental bounds that could keep them away from the after party in the least.

To begin with, having a reason to is what perpetuates the necessity of something. With neither Ryan Reynolds nor wife, Blake Lively seeming to have had any nominations announced to their names at the Oscars, as had been in cases most years, there stands no added gravitational pull to compel them to attend. Moreover, standing in solidarity with his wife, Reynolds along with Lively herself who currently is in the midst of maintaining the legal battle that she had waged against Justin Baldoni, seem to be all the more reason for the couple to not complicate their days with extra-curricular involvements, and reasonably so.

Speculations of their attendance at the Oscars had been rising even more since their appearance at SNL's 50th anniversary celebrations, the duo having been spotted in silver and black complimenting ensembles, and as stand witness the present times, it had also marked their first public appearance with each other ever since Lively’s commencement of her legal battle against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

Despite the graveness the looms over their shoulders, Reynolds and Lively seemed to be making sure it did not seep into their public lives, an approach that, while somewhat ironic, only reinforced the warmth and positivity that resonated with their audience

With most of the carpet of the 50th season special night inside the SNL venues being studded, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively seemed nothing short of two of the stars. Lively looking livelier than ever in her sparkling and beaded silver dress and Reynolds in his dapper as ever and always, black tux, the couple seemed to have let their worried take the back seat for a few hours as they let the night for laughs and performances entertained themselves.

With Lively’s lawsuit against co-star Justin Baldoni (for inappropriate behavior and a smear campaign against Lively), now proceeding with full throttle, Lively’s and Reynolds’ attendance of the Oscars 2025 is still under deep speculation, but as time remains, unpredictable and never the same, Lively and Reynolds could also be seen breaking their age old stay at home traditions this year.
