While Hugh Jackman putting back on the costume of Wolverine will remain a moment for pop culture history, there is another role, which if he reprises might trample over the former. With Disney announcing at D23 that a stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman is now in the works, the ball is in Jackman's court to don the hat once again.
The stage adaptation will be in the hands of Disney Theatrical Group, which has proven its magnificence with the Broadway renditions of The Lion King and Aladdin. However, it will be tough for them to get Jackman back on the road given how the actor had stated that he was advised not to sing for the 2017 movie itself.
While the chances of Hugh Jackman making a Broadway comeback are far and few, if Disney does manage to pull a Ryan Reynolds, then history can be made.

While Deadpool & Wolverine brought the actor back into business at the box office, Hugh Jackman has proven himself to be a star of both the numbers and the awards. If he does agree to star in the stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman, it would bring back his Broadway days, which earned him a Tony in 2004.
Apart from Hugh Jackman, Zendaya also starred in The Greatest Showman. With the latter's boyfriend and Marvel's prodigy engaging himself in theater for the past year and more, there are chances that she or even Jackman might find inspiration in his smooth segway. However, who puts P.T. Burnam's hat on their head remains unclear for now as the actor remains busy basking in the glory of his likely billion-dollar earning film.
