Tom Holland is probably best known for swinging through the MCU as Spider-Man. While his role as the friendly neighborhood web-slinger has undoubtedly been a game-changer in his career, Spider-Man is just one chapter in Holland’s growing list of diverse roles. Now, it looks like he is ready to take a break from the spandex and leap into something new with a project called Burnt. Tom Holland will be putting his producing skills to the test alongside his brother Harry Holland and Will South at their new production company, Billy17. The company has just struck a deal with Sony Pictures, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, and they have already got two projects lined up for the next few years- Burnt and The Rosie Project. While details about Burnt are still a bit of a mystery, the film, written by Rodney Rothman, could very well see Holland starring in it- if he chooses to take on the role.
Rothman was involved in developing Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse before he worked on the screenplay for Burnt. The other project Billy17 is working on, The Rosie Project, will be an adaptation of Graeme Simsion’s novel. Sony Pictures has not announced release dates for either of these films yet, but the news comes just as Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie got some big updates.
Earlier this month, producer Amy Pascal, while promoting Zendaya's Challengers, shared what Spider-Man 4 is going to be about.

During a conversation with Deadline, Pascal shared, “We have to deal with the fact that he decided he was going to give up being Peter Parker, and he was gonna focus on being Spider-Man.” While Spider-Man 4 has not kicked off production just yet, this unofficial preview of the story gives a pretty clear sense of where it is headed. However, the storyline of Burnt is still under wraps.
