The British royals have a long history of “grotesque misalliance” that results in marriages falling apart. Likewise, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson fell out with another controversial member of the family, Prince Andrew following her juicy photo scandal in the year 1992. The couple’s divorce was finalized four years after infamous events and the Duchess continued her career as a writer. Affectionately called Fergie, she is now a British TV personality. Having made her way out of the institution, the Duchess very well resonated with family members who have opted for the same. Recently the writer made headlines as she spoke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The aunt did not hold back in sharing her two cents on the pair’s choice to leave the royal family.

The estranged Duchess recently sat for an interview with Australian TV show host, Matt Shirvington. Therein she expressed how she had adamant thoughts about the Sussexes, reports Mirror. As per her thought, she only had positive inputs for the self-exiled pair. Ferguson was all praises for the Sussexes ‘Courageously’ stepping down from their positions as ‘senior’ members of the royal family.

Sarah Ferguson is not only a royal relative of the Sussexes, but she’s also the former best friend of the late Princess Diana, Prince Harry’s mother. Fergie called the pair “trailblazers” to stick strongly with their beliefs and going ahead with their critical decision. She appreciated the guts of anyone who stands tall about their own beliefs. “It doesn’t matter where you’re from or who you are, you trailblazer for what you believe,” expressed the Duchess. “That’s very brave,” she added.

She also added that the members who have decided to depart from the royal family should stay firm on their decisions.

How is the relationship between Aunt Fergie and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? 

Earlier this month, the Duchess of York said to Good Morning America that she was ‘thrilled’ to see Prince Harry happy with his wife and children. She also said that the Duke deserved this love. The Duchess said to the People that she thinks Late Princess Diana would be proud of her grandchildren not only the Sussexes but Prince William’s children too.

The Sussexes currently live in the posh area of upscale Montecito with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex had sent the word that she was up and moving with her life. And that her family is of paramount importance to her.
